Extensive work at Bradford University
The project, which involved the extension and reorganisation of the existing Joseph Priestley Library and the provision of a new building to house their innovative computer aided learning facility, was won against five other local practices. Circulation within the whole complex has been rationalised to facilitate secure and controlled use, while a new central atrium introduces natural lighting deep into both the new and existing buildings. Cooling within the learning facility is provided by a soundless chilled ceiling, thus maintaining a quiet environment conducive to study.
