Extension to Weetwood Hall, Leeds
The project was to design an extension to the hotel in order to provide five extra conference rooms, twelve syndicate rooms, breakout areas, a new conference reception area and to also extend the main restaurant. SSA's experience with technologically complex buildings was invaluable as the new facilities required the integration of bespoke audio visual systems, video conferencing, ISDN, CAT 5 cabling, audio loops and flexible cooling systems. Though the main extension mirrored the design of existing buildings, the new fully-glazed conference reception set a modern contrast with a feature roof light acting as a visual beacon to arriving delegates.
