Apartments at Southlands, Moortown, Leeds
The project, for Hearthstead Homes, involved the design of 20 2-bedroom apartments split between two blocks and linked by an impressive atrium containing stairs and a glass lift. The design incorporates well-proportioned balconies and terraces to give residents the additional amenity of private external space. While the design style is understated contemporary, significant emphasis has been placed on the use of quality materials both internally and externally. Furthermore, the scale of the building presented the opportunity for second floor units to extend into the roofspace, thus creating generously sized duplexes.
