An award-winning scheme for Yorkshire Housing to provide extra care facilities in a modern, stylish setting. The development includes 45, 1 and 2 bed units, guest and staff units together with office, administration, dining, daycare, treatment and leisure facilities, all housed in a single building. The structure utilises low maintenance, energy efficient materials and is designed to a contemporary Scandinavian theme. Rather than viewing the building as an institutional style facility, the design approach was that usually applied to high quality, private sector housing.
