Affordable Housing in Harrogate
The brief for this project was to provide 100% affordable housing of mixed tenure on a brownfield site at Swinton Court, Harrogate. In association with JS Bramley (Leeds) Ltd, we delivered 31 new dwellings (15 flats and 16 houses) for our client, Yorkshire Housing.
Timber frame construction was used throughout for speed of erection together with a mixed pallet of traditional and modern materials.
Government funding was awarded in the form of grants to aid the installation of Ground Source Heat Pumps to four of the houses, designed to heat the whole building, thus reducing energy bills significantly for prospective tenants.
