Horrocks Quarter gains Outline Approval
We are delighted to announce our application for a new retail development in Preston was recently given the ‘green light' by the local authority. The scheme comprises a 130,000 sq ft food store, two additional large retail units and a number of smaller units totalling a further 90,000 sq ft retail space. This development is supported by significant highway works, car parking including a multi storey car park facility and a new petrol station, and provides a large regeneration opportunity for Preston.
Located on the original Horrocks Mill site, the proposal includes a material palette and design ethos sympathetic to the areas historic background. Key references are made through the choice of external materials, including patterned composite cladding panels and a patterned perforated sheet to shroud the car park. Alongside these crisp detailing and glazing compliment the modern design solution.
This decision sees our first of many approvals for the Brookhouse Group, a privately owned property development and investment company based in Sale.
